We are thrilled to present our series of The Auction Salon Favourites for Beyond Blue, where a special guest will select their favourite five pieces from our auction each week. For their efforts, we will be donating $500 each week for 52 weeks to Beyond Blue, a $26,000 commitment for an important organisation that provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health.
“This social and economic storm we find ourselves in prompted me to consider how Leonard Joel could both engage with its collectors and decorators while at the same time give something back to the community during this period, something that I know we can sustain and while modest, is still a contribution.
My simple concept is that every week someone from our auction community will select 5 things from our Thursday Auction and for that fun and simple task we will each week donate $500 to Beyond Blue for 52 weeks – a commitment for a year.
Supporting people with mental health issues will remain one of the key social challenges during this period and Beyond Blue is one organisation that during these times will aim to meet that challenge head on. Leonard Joel is honoured to be partnering with Beyond Blue for this year-long commitment.”
