We are delighted to see an easing of restrictions and to be able to welcome you back to Leonard Joel from Monday November 2. Like many businesses, we are adapting by the day and are appreciative of your ongoing support and patience during these times while we adjust our processes and systems to the next stage.
Auctions & Bidding in Melbourne
Our Thursday Auctions in Melbourne will continue to take place online-only with no physical auction attendance. We continue to offer our popular and trusted lowest bid guaranteed absentee bidding service and live online bidding, now with buyer’s premium parity. With the easing of attendance at work restrictions in Melbourne, we are delighted to return to live auctioneers streaming via our online partner Invaluable.
Wednesday’s by appointment viewings return and these can be booked via our website. For your peace of mind, client numbers will be capped according to government requirements and to ensure we are managing social distancing requirements effectively, we will be unable to accommodate drop-in appointments. Bookings will open on Tuesday November 3 for our first Wednesday viewing on 4 November.
Auctions & Bidding in Sydney
We look forward to welcoming you to our Sydney showrooms for our upcoming auctions where in-room, telephone, online and absentee bidding will all be available and now with buyer’s premium parity.
Effective from Monday November 2, our Melbourne Client Services team will return onsite and we look forward to greeting you in person, but we continue to encourage and make available all means of contactless connection by phone, over email, and even a FaceTime chat or video call.
Delivery to your door
Purchases can be delivered to your door via Leonard Home Delivery (see below), collected by courier or authorised carrier, or collected via our Carpark Concierge Service on Fridays and Mondays (commencing Monday 2 November). View our list of recommended carriers here.
We will continue to offer Leonard Home Delivery in Melbourne for those clients who prefer to maintain social distancing and who have enjoyed this service over the last few months. Please note this service is available in Melbourne (Select suburbs) only and is not available for Sydney auction purchases.

Delivery to our door
Any clients wishing to consign with us during this period can engage our third party service, courier or authorised carrier or book a delivery appointment with the respective departments. View our list of recommended carriers here.
All payments from buyers and settlements to vendors during this time will remain contactless, via either EWAY or direct deposit, to encourage social distancing. For prompt service via our Carpark Concierge please ensure that you have a copy of your online payment receipt. We will not be accepting cash or cheques until further notice.
