In 2017, we celebrated the rare, the beautiful and the extraordinary in a year that saw Leonard Joel entrusted with some of the most interesting and important Private Collections in Australia.
Among the many highlights were the contemporary aboriginal art collection of the great Dutch art collector Thomas Vroom, fine jewels from Melbourne institution, Kozminsky, the magnificent costumes of Opera Australia, The Decorative Arts Collection of the late James Fairfax AC which sold for $1.74 million and most recently, the 1909 Ashes Urn from The Monty Noble Collection and the antique jewellery collection of renowned jewels dealer and connoisseur, Ray Schlager.
